About Simmi
My name is Susmita Simmi, originally from Bihar and currently residing in Kolkata. I have a strong academic background, holding an M.Sc. in Chemistry from Banaras Hindu University and a B.Ed. from Patna University. In addition, I have completed a Junior Diploma in Hindustani Vocal Music and an undergraduate diploma in the German language from Banaras Hindu University, along with a digital literacy program from JBV Online. I have 12 years of offline teaching experience, having taught science to Class 9 and 10 students at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Balangir, Odisha from 2004 to 2006, followed by working as a freelance Chemistry teacher for Class 11 and 12 CBSE board students in Pune, Maharashtra from 2008 to 2018. Over the past 10 years, I have remained connected to my subject by guiding my son and daughter in their JEE preparation, both of whom successfully qualified the JEE Advanced examination with good ranks, my son in 2019 and my daughter in 2025. I believe that teaching is a two-way process where we often learn more than we teach, and that an effective teacher adapts to the student’s way of thinking to explain concepts clearly. I also believe teaching should be engaging so that students enjoy learning and develop genuine interest. Teaching, to me, is a passion rather than just a profession. At present, I am also dedicating my efforts to helping underprivileged children prepare for class 11, 12 CBSE board exam, competitive exams like JEE, BITSAT, NEET, and other similar competitive exams. I would feel extremely fortunate if my knowledge can make a meaningful difference in someone’s life.

To me teaching is a passion rather than a profession, something I truly enjoy. I make my teaching so engaging that students enjoy it and learn willingly. I always adapt to the student's way of thinking so that I can explain well. My main goal is to make sure that students have a clear understanding of the basics for every topic. Once the fundamentals are solid, I guide them on how to solve the best questions related to that topic. At the moment, I am channeling my efforts towards helping the children, prepare for 11, 12 CBSE board exams, JEE, BITSAT, NEET & similar other competitive exams. If my knowledge can add to someone, I would feel extremely fortunate.
