About Amol
Math can be enjoyable and rewarding when we approach material with confidence in our problem solving abilities. However, this is not always the case. Through my many years studying math at the college and graduate level, I've learned the key is to take small steps working from bite-sized to seemingly impossible problems.
I used this approach to complete my economics degree at the University of Chicago, in my career as a management consultant, and now as a masters student in computer science.

My teaching style focuses on building confidence and showing students how much they are already capable of.
Lessons usually start with a quick review of material covered in the previous lesson, followed by review of material taught in school and covered on homework. Once we have a sense of which topics would be best to discuss, we'll spend the bulk of lesson time doing practice problems in these areas.
