About Isla
I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and have spent nine years teaching programming to students of varying ages and abilities. My passion for technology began at an early age and grew as I discovered the power of code to build, solve, and connect. Over the years, teaching has become my way of sharing that power with others. I find deep fulfilment in guiding students from confusion to clarity, helping them transform ideas into working solutions. My teaching style combines structure, patience, and creativity. I believe in creating a safe learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and testing boundaries. I adapt each lesson to suit individual learning styles and goals, recognising that everyone’s coding journey is unique. I encourage independence while providing steady support, allowing students to gain both confidence and problem-solving skills that last a lifetime. To stay current, I continuously explore new technologies, programming languages, and development trends. I experiment with personal projects, collaborate with other developers, and engage in lifelong learning. Teaching programming is more than a career to me—it is a responsibility and a joy. I take pride in knowing that I am helping shape the thinkers, creators, and innovators of tomorrow.

Computer programming is the art of translating ideas into digital reality.
