About Israel
I'm Israel, a current high school student with a 4.46 GPA and Honor Roll recognition throughout high school. But it didn't always look this way.
In 7th grade, I went through a real period of difficulty with my grades. It wasn't about effort — I was trying. Things just weren't clicking, and that's a frustrating place to be. Over time, with the right support and approach, everything started to make sense, and I was able to turn my grades completely around. I haven't forgotten what that felt like.
That experience is exactly why I tutor. There's nothing more meaningful to me than helping students who are going through the same thing I once went through — feeling stuck, feeling behind, or wondering if they're just "not a math person." I know that feeling personally, and I know it's not true. Sometimes you just need someone who explains it the right way, and getting to be that person for someone else is what makes tutoring genuinely rewarding for me.

My goal is to help students understand not just how to solve a problem, but why the method works. That deeper understanding is what builds real confidence and turns students into independent learners — not just students who can follow steps, but students who can think through problems on their own.
Every lesson starts by identifying what the student finds challenging. From there, we work through examples together, break down each concept step-by-step, and practice similar problems until the student feels genuinely comfortable solving them independently. Progress moves at the student's pace — the goal is real understanding, not just getting through the material.
I focus on creating a supportive, judgment-free environment where questions are always welcome and no concern is too small to address. As a current high school student who has recently worked through many of these same concepts, I understand the challenges students face and can explain material in a way that's clear and relatable.
My lessons are designed for students from elementary school through Algebra 2, including Elementary & Middle School Math, Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2 — whether the goal is raising grades, preparing for a test, completing homework, or building stronger math skills overall.
