About Martine
I have been working in the school district for 5 years,
I have done many one on one art sessions with students, where they have chosen their design and I guided them through the painting process.
I have done "paint nights" for adults as well,
I have designed and painted murals for schools with the help of students,
I have made various art projects while teaching art skills to motivated student artists.

As a teacher, I know that not everyone learns best the same way - I like to get to know my students learning strengths, and expand on them.
In the past, for example, I taught an 11 year old girl to paint a beautiful horse portrait. I started out by explaining to her step by step what to do using basic shape knowledge and basic color mixing; she easily followed my instructions!
Other students may prefer a paint-night style of teaching- where I can model and explain as I go.
I am open to whatever style my student prefers!
