About Ethan
Hi! I'm Ethan, an A* student at Wilson's School with 11 Grade 9s at GCSE, including top scores in 100% in Maths and 98% in Further Maths. I have an offer to study Mathematics at the University of Warwick.
I specialise in helping GCSE students (Year 10-11) move from Grade 4–7 to 8/9. My most recent students gained A* grades at A level and 9s at GCSE.
For younger students, the focus is on building strong foundations early and developing a positive relationship with Maths. For older students, I support both understanding and exam preparation, always working at a pace that balances progress with confidence.
I am familiar with the syllabi of all the major exam boards: Edexcel, AQA, WJEC, and OCR.
Having recently completed GCSEs, I understand the current curriculum and know exactly what works.
I also support KS3 students (Years 7–9) to build a strong foundation for future GCSE success.

Every student learns differently, so I tailor my tutoring to each individual’s needs and learning style. I have tutored students with dyslexia and a student with ADHD who found it hard to stay focused, so I broke work into smaller chunks and checked in regularly to keep them on track. I used visual aids and celebrated small wins, which really helped build their focus and confidence.
My aim is to make lessons enjoyable and confidence-building, because students learn best when they feel motivated and supported. Whether your child is struggling with a subject, aiming to improve their grades, or working towards top marks, I provide personalised support to help them reach their full potential. Most of all, I want to see them succeed.
Each session includes:
- Step-by-step guidance through exam-style questions on weak areas.
- Homework is assigned to reinforce key concepts.
- Monthly progress report summarising achievements and new goals.
I offer a free 30-minute assessment to evaluate their level and identify areas for improvement, or a full hour for £12.50.
I currently have some capacity; however, I limit the number of students to maintain quality support. I tutor online. I am available to tutor during the day, in the evenings, and on weekends. Contact me to secure your child’s spot.

Perfect! Ethan tutored my son in KS3 and GCSE Maths for over 2 years with outstanding results.
My son, George, started at a grade 3/4 level and lacked confidence, especially in algebra. By GCSEs, he achieved a grade 9 in Maths and earned a Silver in the Intermediate Maths Challenge.
