I am David Chai, a French tutor with classroom experience and study abroad background. My lessons are patient, engaging, and built around your current skill level and goals. You will receive a short audio recording of key phrases after each session. I am encouraging, organized, and genuinely excited when you speak without hesitation. I assess your current vocabulary range and comfort with basic phrases during a short introductory chat. A typical lesson includes pronunciation warm-ups, grammar pattern practice with examples, guided dialogue creation, listening exercises with native speaker clips, reading comprehension on short passages, and a written three-sentence summary. My specialty is helping students think in French rather than translating from English. My students include 4th through 10th graders, middle school beginners, high school students preparing for placement tests, and adults planning travel or business trips to francophone regions.
