About Lucas
What is more satisfying than having a conversation in a foreign language? Being able to explore the expression of contrasted ideas and emotions. Ever felt frustrated with yourself stuck in a conversation when unable to express the depth of your ideas or emotions? Don't panic. It happens to everyone. This is one of the reasons we're here, to dive from the shallows into deeper the nuances of expression and extend the range of our vocabulary. Here, I want to offer students the opportunity that I've had myself to learn a second and third language by re-creating the atmosphere of being abroad which is to me, the best way to learn a new language. For 10 years now I have been traveling in Spanish speaking countries. Settled, studied, volunteered in some of them for a length from a couple of months to a year. Speaking Spanish is an incredible asset, sure English is the first international language, but Spanish opens the doors to a worldwide community. It has happened to me to work in places in English speaking countries, and have a Spanish speaking workmate who you instantly click with through Spanish speaking and create a deep bond. It is a very unique feeling. Learning a foreign language is also a cultural experience. English is a Germanic language whereas Spanish comes from a Latin origin. I find it fascinating to explore different cultural heritage throughout language!

Hola ! My name is Lucas, I am in my late twenties and now ready to be your Spanish teacher ! Classes are a full hour long of practice. My methodology is based on the real life situation exercises. The goal of this class is to allow students to become autonomous and confident with their practice to deepen their learning and understanding of a second language. Lessons are open to anyone, all ages and levels are welcome. Classes are evolutive and will be adapted to your pace of progress.
