About Rebecca
I have a first class honours degree (BSc) in Biomedical Sciences from Southampton University (2001), a Masters in Biochemical Research from Imperial College, London (2004) and a PhD in Stem Cell Research from Southampton University (2007). I have conducted 3 years postdoctoral laboratory research at Bristol University, where I also tutored Masters students on the MSc in Molecular Neuroscience course, and am currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Oxford researching Parkinson’s Disease. I have taught both Masters and PhD students in the lab and have published over 20 scientific articles on subjects ranging from breast cancer, stem cells, neurodegeneration and hormonal signalling. I have also published a book chapter in Clinical Reproductive Science (2018), a valuable textbook for professionals in academia, research and clinicians working in reproductive science, clinical embryology and reproductive medicine. I have presented my work at national and international conferences.

I provide tutoring in biology & chemistry at GCSE/A level or degree level. In each lesson we will typically cover a topic in depth, before running over some past exam questions & what would be expected. I would then set the student some questions to test their knowledge, before marking these & giving feedback to the student.
