About Florin
I am hard working, determined.
I have degrees in Chemistry (BSc, MSc and PhD).
For most of my active life, I have taught science courses to degree students and performed research and development (sciences) in academia (laboratories in universities).
My previous research involves hands - on experience on: physical, inorganic, organic and analytical chemistries and on molecular biology.
Previously, I have done research (including postdoctoral studies): on quantum mechanics calculations, commercial release of state-of-the-art computer software, on molecular biology techniques, studying the genome of the bacterium Rhodospirillum rubrum, on the nanotechnology project 'Molecular Wires', sensor technology for spacecraft applications, coordination chemistry (basic research).
Have taught college/university level courses: General Chemistry during 2003 – 2006, 2009, General Chemistry and Nonmetal Chemistry Seminars (discussions and applications of the topics covered in lectures), General Chemistry laboratories, Nonmetal Chemistry laboratories, Organic Chemistry laboratories, Inorganic Advanced Preparative laboratories, Inorganic Chemistry laboratories. Have done cover teaching work in Essex, London and Suffolk areas (UK) as required with teaching supply agencies, recently.
