About Lena
My interest in piano developed from a deep appreciation for melody, harmony, and expressive musical storytelling from an early age. I completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Music before earning a PhD in Piano Performance and Education. During the last 13 years, I have helped students strengthen musical confidence through supportive teaching and structured learning approaches.
I believe every learner deserves lessons that feel adaptable, encouraging, and motivating according to their pace and goals. Some students improve through technical repetition and structured exercises, while others respond better to creativity and expressive interpretation. My teaching style focuses on patience, encouragement, and musical expression so students can improve steadily while building confidence in piano playing.
Outside teaching, I enjoy arranging piano compositions, studying classical works, and exploring contemporary keyboard styles. Staying active in music helps me bring fresh and inspiring ideas into lessons. Teaching piano is rewarding because I enjoy helping students express themselves creatively and confidently through music.

My piano lessons focus on helping students build musical confidence through structured learning and creative keyboard exploration. I teach note reading, rhythm training, scales, chord progressions, finger independence, dynamics, and expressive interpretation using guided exercises that make learning enjoyable and approachable. Lessons are designed to improve coordination, creativity, and musical understanding while creating a relaxed and supportive environment.
Beginners improve through rhythm drills, hand coordination exercises, and simple melodies that gradually strengthen foundational piano skills. Intermediate learners develop stronger timing control, expressive phrasing, and accompaniment techniques through structured repertoire and technical activities. Advanced students focus on artistic interpretation, polished performance preparation, and advanced musical expression with deeper artistic development. I also include duet practice and listening exercises that help students improve naturally.
Piano becomes more rewarding when students understand how music communicates emotion instead of only memorizing notes mechanically. My lessons encourage creativity, patience, and steady growth while helping learners improve comfortably. I want students to become more expressive, confident, and emotionally connected to music through every lesson.
