About Bethany
My passion for programming began with curiosity about how algorithms and logical sequences could be transformed into tangible solutions. This led me to earn a B.Sc in Computer Science followed by an M.Sc in Artificial Intelligence, where I explored both theoretical concepts and practical applications in modern computing. Over the past 10 years, I have guided students of varying ages and abilities, helping them transform initial hesitation into confidence and capability in programming through patient, structured, and engaging instruction.
I emphasize a teaching methodology that balances theory and application. Lessons include visual explanations, interactive exercises, project-based tasks, and detailed guidance tailored to each learner’s pace and style. I encourage experimentation, iterative problem-solving, and independent thinking, ensuring students understand not only how code works but why it works.
Outside the classroom, I actively explore emerging technologies, software development projects, and research in AI and algorithms. Bringing these experiences into my lessons keeps content current and inspiring, demonstrating the real-world value of programming. Programming can initially seem abstract and intimidating, but it becomes intuitive when students learn to see the logic behind every solution. In my lessons, I focus on building strong conceptual understanding alongside hands-on coding skills. Topics range from basic syntax and loops to advanced algorithms, data structures, object-oriented programming, and software design principles. Lessons are structured to reinforce logical thinking and problem decomposition, ensuring learners can approach challenges systematically and confidently. By connecting coding exercises to real-world applications, I make programming relevant, engaging, and rewarding.
Beginners are guided step-by-step through foundational concepts, such as variables, conditional statements, loops, and basic function creation, building comfort and confidence. Intermediate learners delve into modular programming, data structures, debugging techniques, and project-based exercises that reinforce practical skill. Advanced learners focus on algorithms, optimization, API integration, and software development projects that prepare them for academic, professional, or personal coding challenges. Each session integrates interactive exercises, guided practice, and iterative feedback to strengthen comprehension and skill mastery.
Programming lessons cultivate analytical thinking, patience, and creative problem-solving.
