About Simran Luthra
I am a B. Ed Home Science graduate and I have done my B. Sc in home science. I being a student from science stream when joined Home Science was too afraid and had too many myths about this subject. While during the course,I could not only learn the basic skills of managing a home but also visualized myself as a research person, an entrepreneur, a nutritionist, a fashion designer, a biochemistry expert and lot more. So, I wish to impart all those skills and knowledge based on the scientific skills that I learned during my school and college years to my students and help them build a scientific temper, remove all those myths about us and hell them learn concepts in a fun way.

I believe in the scientific or problem solving method of teaching. The moment we start looking at the problems around us more than the textbooks, we start loving science. Textbooks are a source of knowledge and inspiration to take help in the path of solving the problem. I believe in trying out, hit and trial and learning from mistakes in order to solve the problems and then we build on a topic in science which is my method of teaching science called Constructivism.
For teaching Maths, I use the same approach to first know why we are learning a particular topic, it's daily life uses and then we construct the formulas and method of a mathematical problem rather than memorizing the formulas and steps.
I believe in learning from my learners and Teaching-learning is a collaboration for me where both parties share their unique experiences in order to learn effectively.
