About Claudia
I am currently a second year master's student in chemistry at the University of Cape Town. I completed my undergrad in chemistry and microbiology as well as my honours in chemistry at Rhodes university. I have been tutoring first year university students for 3 years. I have done both group tutoring and private tutoring during this time.

My teaching method is to try and explain concepts as simply as possible. I try my best to use everyday examples to explain the core concept. I also like to use test and tutorial questions to help with understanding of how to apply the concepts. I like to communicate with my students before hand to get an idea of what they would like help with so that I am able to prepare 110% for that section of work. I also love it when students send me their questions so that we can start the lesson productively. This also helps me to identify where the knowledge gaps are.
