About Julia
Bonjour! Are you looking for some additional French help for yourself or for your child? Whether it be helping with homework, becoming more comfortable speaking or just brushing up on the language, I am ready to meet your individual needs.
A little bit about me: I am a K-12 teacher certified by the Ontario College of Teachers and specialize in French as a Second Language education. I hold a bilingual Honours Bachelor of Arts (major French studies, minor in Hispanic studies) as well as a Bachelor of Education and recently completed a Master of Education in Language, Literacies and Education with a specialization in Education, Francophonies and Diversity.
I have 5+ years of tutoring experience and have tutored students of varying ages and abilities in all subjects including English, French and Spanish.
I am very familiar with the International Baccalaureate curriculum, having been in the top 20% of students worldwide who received their diploma. I am also a graduate of the French Immersion program and know the French as a Second Language curriculum (Core French, Extended French and French Immersion) very well from the K-12 grades.
I am also comfortable tutoring students needing needing help in elementary Math, Science, Social Studies, Reading, Writing and Oral and Written Comprehension.
