About Sumant
I am a graduate of IIT Kanpur with an M.Sc. (Integrated) in Chemistry, and an M.S. in Biochemistry and an M.Ed. specialising in Science Education. After teaching classes during my MS and MEd, I have regularly worked as a tutor for Classes VI-XII students (CBSE, ICSE) in India for over 15 years.

My tutoring is based in a strong fundamental understanding of concepts, and I try to provide real-world contexts wherever possible for these concepts. I provide reasoning behind the mathematics and their use in the sciences to offer more holistic learning. Where possible, I also curate video resources to provide a more visual learning experience.
I do expect my students to be prepared and engaged in the learning process, as their participation enables me to adjust my pace, focus and language to suit their learning.
