About Heliodoro
Born in Madrid, I am a university graduate, with bachelor's and a master's degrees in economics. Having spent part of my career as an international official and a university researcher, I have returned to my earlier profession of foreign language tutor, which I love. With years of experience in private tutoring, I adapt to the student's level and needs and I am strong at stimulating learning by providing insights into Spanish culture and everyday life. I speak, in addition to Spanish (my mother tongue), English, Spanish, and Italian.

Ranging from introductory to advanced, my lessons can combine conversation, grammar/writing, reading of texts as well as practical exercises. A typical lesson will include some conversation, during which students will normally take notes, the reading of a text with illustrations, and a few grammatical boxes. Lessons are directed both at middle school and high school students, as well as at college students or adults interested in improving their Spanish for either professional or personal reasons. I try to motivate students by providing interesting insights into Spanish/Latin American culture (music, literature, arts).
