About Giulia (Lilly)
I have been an English teacher for over 6 years giving private lessons and working with language courses.
I started teaching English at a very young age, at 17, and I soon realized that it was the career I wanted to pursue. I went to Finland for an exchange program, which helped me to further develop my communication skills, and solidify my learning and fluency in the language.
I'm always looking for professional development, so I take part in courses and workshops so as to be in constant improvement. In 2020, I invested in the Cambridge CELTA (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) course. This course is aimed at teachers of English as a second language (for non-native learners) and consists of lectures and practical lessons on how to prepare lessons, how to teach communicative skills, reading, speaking, pronunciation, listening and writing.
It was a big challenge in my life. I got a B pass with a lot of hard work, and hours of class preparation and practice.
My classes are via the Zoom app, and I make material available through Google Classroom. My classes are entirely in English, even for beginners (it's possible! I have years of experience.)

My approach is communicative, that is, focused on teacher-student interaction as a means and an end. I was trained to teach by Cambridge standards. I also have experience with the audiolingual approach, having worked for years in courses that adopt this methodology.
In classes, I work on all the communicative skills necessary for the development of fluency:

- Oral Comprehension;
- Written comprehension;
- Grammar;
