About Michelle
I've consistently taken higher-level classes, and I've had years of experience with tutoring (starting at a local Kumon center when I was 15, working in a family-owned business, and working as a volunteer tutor at school as part of the Honor Society). I'm excited to work with each and every one of my students!

Lessons will usually be an hour-long class that focuses on expanding vocabulary, learning grammar and sentence structure, and strengthening reading comprehension. I'm very focused on keeping the students engaged, actively participating, and practicing what we learn as opposed to just lecturing for an extended period of time. I always aim to create bonds and friendships with my students, which makes them more excited and ready to learn.
These classes are generally for people struggling with whatever they're being taught now or simply those who need to spend more time understanding grammar and reading comprehension, but I am also able to work with aspiring writers on personal narratives, essays, and even fiction. And for all of my classes, I aim to go above and beyond by adding some extra tips or methods that will help in all kinds of writing (high school/admission essays, research papers, fictional stories), particularly by expanding vocabulary and organizing the structure of longer writing pieces.
