About Milen
I want to tutor because I have a genuine passion for Mathematics and Economics and have always been complimented on my ability to break down and explain intricate concepts. I remember how a tutor helped me during my school days, making challenging topics clear and boosting my confidence. I want to provide that same guidance and support for other students. When I approach private tutoring, I begin by conducting an assessment of the student's strengths, weaknesses, and goals, ensuring I tailor the instruction to their unique needs. My teaching is student-centred, blending active learning methods with consistent feedback to foster understanding and improve retention. I believe in adapting to the student's preferred learning style, whether visual, auditory, kinaesthetic, or reading/writing. Throughout our sessions, I emphasise the importance of practice and periodic review to reinforce concepts. Maintaining a strong tutor-student relationship is crucial to me, as it creates a trusting environment where the student feels comfortable expressing concerns and asking questions.
