About Elena
I graduated from Lancaster University in 2021 with a First Class Degree in Natural Sciences focusing on Biomedicine, Biochemistry and Chemistry. I also have A* in Chemistry, Biology and Maths A Level and an A in Further Maths AS Level. I am a very warm, friendly and approachable individual who loves working with others to help improve understanding and confidence. I have experience in tutoring of both chemistry and biology at GCSE level and would love to help you!

My main method of teaching is to make sure the core understanding of topics is fully there. Not just memorising answers but being able to work out an answer due to fully understanding the principles behind it. This allows the student to apply it to multiple different scenarios and not be stumped when it looks slightly different to practised. Lessons are usually an hour but can be increased from that and I am happy to cover multiple subjects in one session (e.g. 30 mins chemistry and 30 mins biology). These sessions are for GCSE level students - whether it's at the start of their GCSE journey or they are preparing for exams.
