About Tim
Hi, I'm Tim and I've been playing chess as a hobby for about 4 years. I started out as someone who barely new the rules, but quickly became addicted and through a combination of online games and official tournament experience I have developed into a solid player, with an online rating of 2000. I would love to share my interest and knowledge with others who are as intruiged by chess as I am, and can offer lessons that are suitable for complete beginners but also those with an already developed understanding. I have experience teaching friends and family of a wide range of skill levels, however this is probably not suitable for anyone rated higher than 1400 on Chess.com (≈1600 Lichess).

My lessons are online, and have the simple aim of improving the chess level of my students to the best of my ability. I try to do this through whichever means necessary, with the potential to cover all different aspects of the game, be it the opening, middlegame, endgame or even the way the pieces move. I can cater for experienced intermediate players all the way to complete beginners, with a maximum rating of about 1400 Chess.com rating or about 1600 Lichess.
