About Jacob
I graduated from Haileybury College in 2020. I have received a high distinction every year of high school, meaning I finished in the top 5% of students in a cohort size of around 400 students. In 2019, I ranked number 1 in Maths Methods 1/2 and Physics 1/2 and achieved a raw study score of 49 in Further Maths. My other 3/4 subjects I took in 2020 were Maths Methods, Specialist Maths, Chemistry, Physics and English.

I tend to teach the way I learn: I expose my students to a wide variety of problems and ask them to first attempt the questions by themselves. Then, if they do not understand, I tackle the question step by step with them and show them the process behind how I obtain each answer. For maths and science subjects, teaching theory is not as useful as attempting as many practice problems as possible. The exposure to different types of questions is the key to understanding topic areas and excelling in tests and exams
