About Nick
I am a recent graduate of a Sydney selective school (St Aloysius), with a special interest in helping students with the humanities, specifically English, History, Religion, Art etc. I have completed a philosophy class and anthropology class at Macquarie University with high distinctions in both. I studied Extension 1 English, Advanced English, Extension 2 English, Visual Arts, Modern History, History Extension, 2 unit Studies of Religion. My internal rankings are as follows - English Advanced: 21/142, English Extension 1: 6/20, Modern History: 14/51, History Extension: 5/18, Visual Arts: 5/22. I aim to teach students the skills and concepts necessary to look at a piece or other source and regardless of the content be able to effectively analyse, gather information and then structure into an argument. I believe that focussing on the skills, as well as helping students with specific content issues, forms a solid backbone so that students become versatile thinkers.
