About Colby
I’m Colby, a 2023 Melbourne University Kwong Lee Dow Young Scholar, studying Medical Imaging. I have a keen interest in music, and I sing and play the flute (My top artists are SZA, Erykah Badu, and Andre 3000). I also play volleyball and love watching films (I love taking recommendations). Most importantly I love teaching, and making connections with students to ensure they feel valued and looked after, as school can be a stressful and daunting experience for most, so being able to alleviate some stress and anxiety is my main goal and passion!

**I also believe that peer feedback and being in a group setting for study is important and facilitates improvement, so I am happy to set up group tutoring sessions (with a cheeky discount) for mates who want to study together!
As a recent high school graduate, support and assistance in navigating tricky topics was the key to comfortably taking on any test or exam, and consequently achieving the desired score.
Using all of the knowledge and experience I gained from high school, hopefully I am able to make yours less stressful! My approach to study and teaching is focused on cultivating and maintaining healthy study habits through, and taking a holistic approach to ensure that my students not only ace their subject, but also minimise burnout and undue stress. All of this in 1 hour sessions!
Using a holistic approach also allows for flexibility with my teaching, as no two students are the same and require individual needs. As such, prior to the tutoring sessions, I will meet with the student (and parents) to discuss goals, requirements and any information regarding study or learning methods that would allow me to teach more efficiently, to make the best use of our time.
I believe that feedback is the most valuable tool to improvement and personal success, as that is what helped me the most throughout my studies. Providing feedback on practice tests and questions is a key element in my teaching process, and I will try my best to be available to answer questions or give feedback outside of the sessions.
