About Denielle
Singing and teaching people to sing is my favorite thing in the world. I love beginners, to professionals and I believe everyone has the power to unlock their biggest voice. I'm a firm believer in a healthy voice. If it feels amazing, it's gonna sound amazing. Singing should not hurt or feel bad EVER. A bit about me. I am a professional singer, songwriter and recording artist. I perform regularly on stages here and abroad, in studios for my original work, commercial work and recording for other artists. I sing in all genres of music, including pop, rock, jazz, blues, folk, even rap! I also do voice over work and help public speakers hone their craft in keeping an audience in the palm of their hand. This also translates to musical performances of course! I have played and headlined major festivals, performed on television, hit #1 on iTunes with my first jazz/pop album and shared the stage with The Bare Naked Ladies, sung back ups for Colin James, opened for Blue Rodeo and other notable acts. At the moment I am preparing to release my second full length album with songs that have won in the John Lennon Song Competition in demo phase. I am also recording my 3rd Studio all original album funded by FACTOR Canada.

For 12 years I have been helping students from children to adults, beginners to professional prepare for auditions and roles for anything from entering music schools to professional roles in theatre, commercials and showcases for pop and R&B performances. I also teach complete beginners to learn to enjoy their voice and learn to sing with ease. No two voices are the same, and so my approach with each student is very personal and caring, catering to each unique individual. I will start your first lesson by getting to know your voice such as range, resonance, tone, clarity etc. And we will begin with some basic exercises. I always ask new students to prepare a song. It can be Twinkle Twinkle Little Star! Or Lean on Me, nothing too crazy, unless you are the next Celine Dion, I just want to keep it cool and simple. Towards the last part of the lesson I will teach you a new song and give you your homework. I record every single lesson so you can hear and see yourself doing the work. It's hard to see at first, but it's the best way to get the best results! Remember to bring your silly side. Singing exercises sound really funny! See you in class! :)
