About Annabelle
I am a 2nd year Classics student at the University of Edinburgh, having achieved a high A in A level Latin, as well as a 9 in GCSE Latin.
I have experience in teaching from volunteering with EdClub, a charity that enables students to teach Kenyan children basic English, Maths, and Science online.
I love meeting and interacting with new people, and am great with kids (grew up with 5 siblings and already have 6 nieces/nephews!). My priority is always to create an open, accepting environment that facilitates learning and growth - education should be fun and rewarding, not a chore.
A huge part of the reason that I am doing Classics at university today is because of my first ever Latin teacher, who inspired me greatly and taught me to love not only the syllabus, but the subject itself - we’re still in contact today! I believe that that kind of teaching should be a universal experience :)

I approach each topic by solidifying the foundations, before exploring new content, and then using practice questions to ensure understanding and to help students get more familiar with the practical applications of each part of the course that would have been studied in that lesson.
