About Ishan
I am Ishan, currently a second-year law student at Durham University in the UK.
I wish to teach English and other related subjects as I believe that it is a unique subject in the context of any educational system.
What do I mean by that?
Well, having been through the local Singaporean education system myself, English was considered an outlier in the way it was taught and assessed. While other subjects could be taught and mastered through rote memorization of the necessary learning material, English required a different approach of proactive interaction and learning. This is because the nature of English as a subject is heavily focused on discernment, analysis, and interpretation.
As a result, my classes will focus on developing said skills in an effective manner through the necessary context of students’ examinations. These skills will be multifaceted in their approach and would allow any of my students to ace whatever examinations they are taking, no matter the questions asked
