About Zakariyya
I am a dedicated and approachable tutor with a strong academic background in Maths, Physics, and Chemistry. Currently, I am studying for an MEng in General Engineering at King’s College London, where I continue to build both my technical knowledge and teaching skills. I chose to tutor because I enjoy helping others unlock their potential and gain confidence in subjects that many students find challenging. Having benefitted from excellent teachers myself, I want to pass on that same support by breaking down complex topics into simple, manageable steps and showing students that progress is always possible with the right guidance. With experience tutoring both GCSE and A-Level students, I understand how to adapt my teaching to suit different learning styles and exam board requirements. My lessons are professional, structured, and tailored to each student’s individual goals. Above all, I want my students to feel supported, encouraged, and confident in their abilities. Tutoring allows me to share my passion for learning while helping students achieve the results they deserve.

My lessons are tailored to each student’s individual needs and learning style. I focus on building a strong understanding of core concepts before moving on to problem-solving and exam-style questions. I make sure to break down complex topics into clear, manageable steps and encourage students to ask questions throughout, creating a supportive and engaging learning environment. A typical lesson lasts 1 hour and combines explanation, guided practice, and independent problem-solving. I often set small tasks or questions to check understanding during the lesson, and where appropriate, I provide practice material to consolidate learning between sessions. I am currently studying MEng General Engineering at King’s College London, where I specialise in Maths, Physics, and Chemistry. Alongside my degree, I have experience tutoring GCSE and A-Level students in these subjects, helping them strengthen their knowledge, improve exam technique, and build confidence. My lessons are suitable for secondary school and sixth form students (GCSE and A-Level), and I adapt my approach depending on the student’s ability, goals, and exam board requirements.
