About Darshini
I love to learn things deeply so I can have an intuitive understanding of them. This drive to learn comes directly from a genuine interest in a subject. I believe the key to motivating oneself through one's studies is to approach them with an open mind and a sense of curiosity. This approach has led me to conduct my own experiments with the material taught in classes, which has enabled me to learn so much more than what is taught in the classroom. Equipped with a deep understanding of the content, I am able to explain concepts in a unique way that makes sense to others.

I first ask the student what specifically they are struggling with. Depending on the response, I may give a sample question to see how the student approaches it, or I may begin with a brief broad overview/background of the topic/sub-topic before zoning in on the area of difficulty. I try to give the students real world applications of the concepts I am teaching/explaining to them because often, students do not fully appreciate the power of what they are learning, and as such, do not take it very seriously. I also try to relate the concepts that students are struggling with to subjects/other things that they are good at and confident in. For example, a student who is good in English or learning foreign languages but struggles with Math may find Math less onerous if he/she views the subject as another language - a means of communication. I tutor all levels of students up to high school in Math and Physics.
