About Talha
I am a 4th Year Engineering student, with a 2:1 degree received for my Bachelor's, at the University of Cambridge. Completing the Engineering degree requires a solid understanding in the concepts which are taught at GCSE and A-Level, both in Maths and Physics, something which I hope to provide through my tuition. I had been tutoring GCSE Maths during Year 12, and can understand the necessity of precisely teaching concepts to those that do not understand as well. I continued tutoring voluntarily during the second year of my university studies, and I was happy to be able to provide more clarity in particular derivations to reduce the amount of required rote learning. Prior to my degree, I achieved a 9 in Maths and an A^ in Further Maths GCSE, which I had done in Year 10. In addition, for the past 3 years, I have received gold awards in the UKMT Maths challenges, as well as best in the school in year 12. I have also always been willing to help my peers in my classroom with any problems they find in Maths A-Level too, working diligently to ensure their understanding.

I give lessons to individuals. How I choose to do so is largely up to the students. From my own experience, exam questions are most effective, and so I look through these with the student. These exam questions will be based on an agreed-upon topic beforehand, and to maximise the usage of our time we may only go over the questions that the student communicates they have struggled on, where the student has attempted to attain their own questions beforehand. However, if the student feels they have alternative approaches that will suit them better such as going over a particular topic in Maths or Physics to ensure that their knowledge is consolidated, I am also very happy to do this.

Talha is a friend of mine and had tutored me in GCSE Physics. I found that he was very patient and careful in how he laid out concepts, and I felt comfortable communicating with him. The subject felt significantly easier from his tutoring, because he gave rules and their explanations such that those rules were intuitive. I highly recommend him as a tutor.
People often find Maths as a difficult and annoying subject, and this is partly due to how it is taught. Talha is able to ensure that the subject makes sense to those he tutors and ensures that they understand the topics and the applications. The importance of understanding and then being able to enjoy the subject cannot be understated, as all students are required to spend a large amount of time on these subjects.
