About Aoife
I started off tutoring as a way to fund my own education but to be honest, I quickly got fond of students and felt such pride as I seen them progress. It’s great to know that I can use some of the things I’ve learned to help others and to hear and see how much they appreciate it and benefit from it!

I have worked for 4 years as a tutor and am happy to say that all of my students have improved significantly & provided me with positive feedback (which I can show proof of).
Students can let me know which areas they would like to work on and from there I can quickly assess their level. I cover all possible style questions that could be examined one by one, explaining and showing how to solve a question and then working through questions with the student until they can independently solve it and feel confident to move on to the next style of question within the same topic; slowly working our way towards exam questions.
I offer up any little tricks I have that help me to remember important things, consistently repeat essential information, perform steps in the same order and use the same terminology in order to help “drill in”the information. (“What’s the one thing I always say at this point?” Is a line I’m almost sick of hearing myself »).
All the while encouraging the student and providing positive feedback!
