About Cole
I’ve seen all types of students understand very difficult math concepts. Often, all it takes is finding the perspective that makes the most sense to them. That’s what I try to provide as a tutor. As a mathematics student myself, I’ve spent a lot of time not only learning how to solve problems, but understanding why the methods work. My goal is to use that understanding to explain concepts from different angles until we find the one that clicks for you. Whether you’re struggling with the fundamentals or working through higher-level mathematics, I want you to leave our sessions feeling more capable and confident than when you started.

My approach to tutoring is to understand you first and then develop a unique method of teaching the material in a way that makes the most sense to you. Everyone approaches math differently, so I try to meet students where they are and find the explanation, example, or perspective that helps the concept click.
Typically, during a session, I like to start by understanding what the student knows and how they approach certain problems, then work together to develop and strengthen those methods.
I generally tutor at the college level for classes such as College Algebra, Trigonometry, and Calculus 1, but I am willing to help with high school-level math all the way to differential equations.
