About Wendy
I am an English education teacher with a senior teaching qualification and 5 years of teaching experience. I have taught English for children aged 3-6, as well as English for middle school and high school students. I am very good at communicating with students and am sincere and friendly. For different questions from students, I will first try to understand the knowledge points that confuse them behind the questions, and then answer and supplement them specifically. For starters
* Theme-based learning
One theme is set each month, such as animal theme, sensory theme, or number theme. Each theme will be learned and practiced in the following ways:
* Introduce the theme with songs and animations to stimulate interest.
* Act out the content of the songs, paying special attention to the use of TPR phrases, accompanied by pictures and cards.
* Make crafts related to the theme, such as cutting, pasting, or drawing.
* Use props such as flashcards to play games, so that children can learn and master the knowledge points without realizing it.
* Review and consolidate the worksheets related to the theme.
* Partner with parents to create a supportive learning environment at home, by suggesting them to read, play games, and sing songs to their children.
For intermediate level
* Theme-based vocabulary accumulation and reading
* Still focus on one theme per month to expand vocabulary and reading.
* Combine the knowledge points of phonics to help transition to independent reading.
* Familiarize yourself with the words under the theme, using flashcards and other props.
* Expand vocabulary using documentaries and science materials.
* Read and explain the reading materials related to the theme.
* Incorporate opportunities for children to practice speaking and listening, such as having children role-play, tell stories, or participate in group discussions.
