Teaching Methodology
I break writing into clear stages:
- understanding the assignment or purpose
- planning arguments or ideas
- structuring paragraphs logically
- improving clarity and flow
- editing for precision and tone
I help students develop stronger critical thinking skills, recognize patterns in their writing, and build repeatable techniques they can use independently.
A standard session may include:
1. Reviewing the student’s goals or current assignment
2. Reading through a section of writing together
3. Identifying strengths and areas for improvement
4. Rewriting or restructuring sentences/paragraphs collaboratively
5. Discussing strategies to improve clarity, flow, and argumentation
6. Creating a plan for next steps or revisions
