Hello everyone! I am a matriculated medical student and am a recent graduate from California State University, Fullerton, with a strong passion for teaching and helping students succeed. With four years of tutoring experience in biology, chemistry, organic chemistry, physics, and most recently the MCAT, I’ve developed effective strategies to help students master complex concepts and achieve their academic goals. Hi there! I'm Emilio, and I’m passionate about helping students succeed through personalized tutoring. I believe that every student learns differently, so I create individualized lesson plans that highlight your strengths and use the methods that work best for you. Whether it’s through whiteboard work, creating fun stories to make concepts stick, or using mnemonic devices, I tailor each session to match your learning style.
In addition, I have experience working with students of all backgrounds, including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder, thanks to my training in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). I’ve helped students with various subjects, including physics, and I pride myself on being patient and adaptable, no matter where you’re starting from.
As an accepted medical degree candidate, I scored in the 89th percentile overall on the MCAT, with particularly strong performances in biochemistry (96th percentile), physics, and biology (90th percentile). This experience has deepened my passion for both learning and teaching, and I’m excited to bring that knowledge and enthusiasm to our sessions!
