About Madison
I create a safe and productive tutoring space while keeping students engaged in the topics we discuss. I try to see the way the student is understanding the subject so I can be of better assistance when helping the student. I am not going to give up on a student who seems that they cannot learn the subject at all. We will work on it step by step until it is completed. Not everything needs to be learned all at once but will be learned by the end of the session. I encourage independency and confidence in one’s own work. I can provide homework and class work assistance in a clear, open, and nonjudgmental space.

I tutored all of my friends in High School and explained subjects in ways they could understand. Everyone learns differently and I used that to an advantage to help my friends and the students I tutored. I create an understanding and safe workspace. I can tutor younger students at their level and understand what their academic needs are. I can also understand and help higher grade levels in advanced and college prep classes. A typical lesson plan is understanding what type of help the student needs then going through some of the questions in that subject. Then I encourage them to do it on their own, but I am right there for any questions. Then hopefully by the end of the session they understand the subject a little more than what we started at. Any progress is good progress. I was mainly a math tutor at my last two in person tutoring jobs. I am proficient at Mathematics, Science, and English at any level from K-12. I also know basic Accounting and have taken 2 years of German.
