About Zara
I'm a First-Class History graduate. Every one of my final year grades was a first, including an 80% dissertation, and I'm about to begin a Master's at King's College London.
History has been my passion throughout my academic career, with a particular specialism in the early modern period and religious history, though I achieved first class marks across all areas of the degree.
During my time at university I informally tutored fellow students who were struggling, and found it genuinely rewarding to see things click for them. That experience is what inspired me to tutor more formally. I take my students' progress seriously, and I bring the same rigour and attention to my tutoring that earned me my results.

My lessons are built entirely around you. There's no fixed plan or set curriculum. I start from what you're finding difficult and we go from there, at your pace and in your direction. Some students want help with a specific essay or upcoming exam; others want to build their analytical confidence more generally. Whatever you need, that's what we work on.
In my experience, the thing that makes the biggest difference at university level isn't content knowledge; it's critical analysis. How you approach a question, how you construct an argument, how you engage with sources and historiography. That's what I focus on, because once that develops, grades tend to follow naturally.
My lessons are designed for undergraduate History students at any stage of their degree — whether you're finding your feet in first year or pushing for a first in your finals. Sessions are flexible in length, typically running between one and two hours depending on what works best for you, and are available online or in person for students in or around London.
