About the lesson

I firmly believe that mistakes are the root of learning. My teaching style is rooted in the Socratic method, rather than simply delivering answers, I guide students to think critically, ask questions, and discover solutions themselves. This approach, also adopted by institutions like Oxford and Cambridge, helps develop deep understanding and long-term retention. I tailor each session to the individual student, whether the goal is to excel in exams, develop supercurricular interest, or prepare for university applications. My goal is to create a space where students feel confident trying, failing, and subsequently growing.

Yuyao has helped me a lot in A Level computer science, often takes his time thoroughly explain the intricacies of each topic until I was able to learn them, and also gives tips for answering questions in a way that is specific to the syllabus. For example, I was struggling a lot with the algorithms in A Level, particularly merge and quick sort, but with the help of Yuyao I was soon able to tackle past paper questions with ease. Yuyao has also always encouraged me whenever I was struggling.
