About Ethel
French grammar usually causes students to stumble during the first few weeks of study. It is a fact that most learners fail to progress because they skip the essential phonetics.
We will spend our first hour on a free trial lesson to assess your level and identify your specific gaps. I use role play and dialogue practice to force you to use the language in real scenarios. We will specifically target your liaison and nasal sounds to improve your delivery.
This method prepares you for the DELF or DALF exams effectively. I am ready to help you gain that much needed clarity.

Beginners frequently walk through my door feeling intimidated by the nasal sounds and complex liaison rules of French. I remember standing in front of my first group in Perth 12 years ago realizing that the best teacher is one who listens as much as they talk. Having taught 239 students, I have seen how quickly anxiety disappears when we focus on the rhythm of the language rather than just the rote memorization of verb charts.
My MA TESOL and language degrees provide the foundation for every lesson I construct. I work with adults and intermediate learners who need to break through their current barriers to find a natural cadence. I keep things simple. You are capable of mastering these sounds if you approach the process with a focus on practical dialogue.
