Hello prospective students!
I'm glad to hear you're looking for some ESL lessons.
My name is Andy Dispensa and I’m a teacher at AMDA, a performing arts college in Hollywood, and an ESL teacher at EC English Santa Monica. I'm I have multiple degrees in ESL education (The TEFL Academy (Chicago)), Italian Studies (Elon University), and Drama (The American Academy of Dramatic Arts). I started teaching 10 years ago in Italy and then in New York at Rennert Bilingual and New York Film Academy. Over my years of experience I've taught many students from all over the world, including 5 continents!
My skill set is wide and diverse.
For ESL we can work on improving any part of your English skills from vocabulary, to pronunciation, grammar, speaking and listening.
For acting I can help you bring your monologue or scene work to the next level. I specialize in scene study, text analysis, and Meisner technique. I have been working on the Off-Broadway scene for close to 7 years now, and have been mentioned in the New York Times, and reviewed by countless other journals and blogs.
I also specialize in accents, dialects, and voice & speech. I'll be teaching you techniques to either change your accent, reduce it, or master another one completely. I work out of a specific book, and yes, there will be homework! That is only if you're committed about improving your linguistic skills.
