About Mitchell
I am a dedicated ESL tutor with over 12 years of experience teaching English to college students from different academic and cultural backgrounds. I specialize in helping learners improve their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills for academic success, daily communication, and professional growth. My goal is to make English learning practical, confident, and enjoyable. My teaching style is creative, supportive, and student-centered.
I believe students learn best when lessons are clear, engaging, and connected to real life. I use real-world examples, role-plays, discussions, presentations, and interactive activities to help students use English naturally. I focus strongly on communication, so students feel confident expressing their ideas in English without fear of making mistakes

My teaching approach for ESL is student-centered, creative, and practical. I believe that learning English should be engaging, meaningful, and useful in real life. I focus on building strong foundations in speaking, listening, reading, and writing while helping students gain confidence in using English every day. I use creative activities such as role-plays, storytelling, discussions, and real-world examples to make lessons interesting and easy to understand.
As a critical thinker and mentor, I encourage students to ask questions, express opinions, and think in English rather than just memorize rules. I explain grammar in a simple way and show how it is used in daily communication. I help students connect new concepts with their personal experiences, which makes learning more effective. I guide students step by step and support them in overcoming language fear and hesitation.
Accountability is an important part of my methodology. I set clear learning goals and track progress regularly. I give constructive feedback and help students understand their strengths and areas for improvement. Homework and practice tasks are designed to be realistic and manageable.
Along with ESL, I can also teach related subjects such as basic communication skills, vocabulary building, pronunciation, interview preparation, and academic English.
