About Andrei
I have a background in theoretical physics, having graduated from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT). I also spent two years in a PhD program at the Weizmann Institute of Science, although I eventually left academia.
After that, I worked as a business analyst, but I have continued studying mathematics independently for many years. My interest is not only professional but deeply personal — I explore mathematics for intellectual development and genuine curiosity.
This combination of formal training and long-term self-study shapes the way I approach teaching: with an emphasis on understanding, clarity, and meaningful discussion.

I offer one-on-one mathematics sessions for adults who are genuinely interested in understanding ideas — not just solving problems.
This is not tutoring in the usual sense. I do not prepare for exams or follow school curricula.
Instead, we explore mathematics as a way of thinking. We choose topics that interest you — number theory, group theory, geometry, or more abstract areas — and work through them in a conversational format.
I use high-quality materials (including lectures and videos), but the core of each session is discussion, intuition, and clarity.
