About Samantha
I'm Samantha, Im passionate about STEM, and love learning. In my year 11 and 12 experience, I started out HATING math, and being very anxious about it, and actually managed to transform my relationship with math throughout the HSC, which led me to love it, and do quite well in my exam :). I'd love to share this enthusiasm, as well as my knowledge and understanding of math, and the study techniques that helped me along the way, with current students, as I know firsthand how it feels to struggle with math, and it isn't the only option!
I graduated high school in 2023 with an atar of 98.70, and band 6s in Advanced Math, Physics, Chemistry, and Spanish beginners. This year I am studying a Bachelor of Advanced Science (honours) at University of Queensland, and majoring in physics!
I'm currently living with my best friend, and our cat Stephanie. I love cats, math, science, iced coffee, and doing escape rooms with my bestie!

I believe anyone can be great at math, no matter what they've been told in the past, and know that everyone has a different style of learning math, so I will personalise the way that I explain concepts to the learning style of my students. I know that math can be intimidating, and stress inducing, and aim to create a fun and positive learning environment to foster an enjoyment of match, in order to reduce student stress and increase their confidence and competence in math classes. Lessons can be of any length, depending on what works for you! I can tutor anything doing year 12 or 11 level advanced or standard math, and anyone in younger years.Travel fee is applicable for lessons outside of the Indooroopilly/St Lucia area.
