About Tara
I have a Bachelor of Business and went on exchange to Ecuador where I stayed in a house share of Spainards and South Americans. I also traveled solo through eight Spanish speaking countries for a total of a year. I now work as the Purser on a dive boat where many of our guests and crew speak spanish also

I was not a natural to begin with and found the learning process very difficult and was always the slowest in my class to pick words up. However, I was determined to learn and started a Spanish group at my university in Cairns to practice and I found ways and tricks to easily remember the language. Music is definelty the best way to learn! And, for example, for one of my lessons I have made lists of songs with the English translations to make a fun way to learn. Also, I have written many of the cheat rules which can be printable and put behind the bathroom door for example. I try not to overload people and keep it simple. I like to teach what they need/want: Spanish for traveling for example. And definelty words to improvise and have with with people your own age. Sometimes if you dont know what they are saying, replying back with a funny comment if better than getting frustrated and halting the conversation. Its all about having fun and carrying on! :)

I live in Freshwater and happy to meet at a Cafe, like the freshwater trainstation where is it airconditioned and quiet inside the cafe carriage.
