About Kai
I am a second-year student at UCT doing my BA majoring in English and Politics. I graduated from an Afrikaans school called Jan van Riebeeck and achieved 5 A’s in matric, including 82% for Afrikaans Home Language. I have tutoring experience as I helped other students in my high school with Afrikaans and English.

My teaching method is to ask my students what they struggle with or what they don’t understand and work from there. A lot of non-Afrikaans students struggle with having to take this subject in school and trying to make time for it with so many other subjects to worry about, but I want to take away that stress for them and make Afrikaans fun and interesting by exposing them to REAL Afrikaans and not just the work they do in class.
