About William
I have always been a teacher that holds his students accountable, but I have also believed that it must be a two-way street. If I was going to ask my students to do their work each night, then I had to be prepared thoroughly every day. Additionally, I had to be there for them when they needed help. So, I was in my classroom every morning an hour before classes started and I was in my classroom even during my free blocks. I have always been able to work with students from a wide variety of backgrounds and abilities. When I offered extra help in the mornings before school, my classroom would be filled with not only my students, but students from other classes as well. This forced me to adapt to each students ability and learning style as well as their teacher's style on the fly. So, I find that the best way to plan a "class" is to spend time trying to meet my students where they are.
