About Agastya
I’m Agastya Sharma, a student at Farnborough Sixth Form College, currently studying Further Mathematics, Mathematics, Physics, and Computer Science. I have a strong academic background, having achieved a range of Grade 9s and 8s in my GCSEs. My passion for Maths, along with my desire to build experience and support others, is what inspired me to begin tutoring. As someone who has recently gone through the GCSE process, I understand the challenges students face—not just in grasping complex topics, but also in managing workload and exam pressure. This allows me to relate to my students and provide guidance that’s practical, empathetic, and tailored to their individual needs.

My Approach to Teaching Maths My Maths lessons are student-centred and highly adaptive, as I believe every learner has a unique approach to understanding concepts. I prioritise building a strong foundational understanding and actively encourage questions to foster curiosity and critical thinking. These lessons are designed specifically for students in Year 9 to Year 11, focusing on key topics that support success in school assessments and exam preparation. Each session lasts 60 minutes, and I assign tailored homework at the end of each lesson, due the following session. However, a student’s school-assigned homework always takes priority. I’m also flexible with scheduling and can adjust lesson timings to suit each student’s needs.
