About Alexandra
Hi, I'm Alexandra! I'm a senior at the University of Arkansas, and soon I'll be studying the brain in a neuroscience PhD program.
For over two years, I've worked with kids as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), helping them learn new skills and reach their goals. I'm patient, and I love finding the way that works best for each student.
I really enjoy math and science, and I like making them easy and fun to understand.
I was also the first in my family to go to college, so I know how confusing applications can be. I'm happy to help you through it and give you the information you need to apply!

My approach:
I focus on understanding, not memorizing. I break topics into small steps, use real-life examples, and have students explain ideas back to me. If something isn't clicking, I try a new angle.
A typical lesson:
We check in on what's happening in class, review a concept together, practice problems that build in difficulty, and wrap up with a quick recap. College prep sessions cover essays, school lists, applications, and deadlines.
What sets me apart:
I'm studying how the brain learns, so I use that to make lessons stick. As a first-gen college student, I also know how confusing the application process can be and how to make it manageable.
Who it's for
K-12 students needing help in math or science, and high schoolers working on college applications, essays, or grades.
