About Ali
I am a last year undergraduate student in McGill university, and my experience in tutoring high school students and peer university students, coupled with my personal academic excellence have always driven me in taking on students for tutoring; students who would like to progress in their performance, but could use a helping hand to give them that final push; to make concepts clear for them, introduce them to more sophisticated topic in a progressive manner, and be there for their questions and difficulties. I also tend to keep my session relatively informal, so my student feels comfortable bringing up any concern or comments that could help us have more productive engagements :)

I would like my student to have the best experience possible in achieving their academic objectives and reaching a higher level of performance. In order to do so, I always start with a brief of the subject to be covered, continue with simple to more sophisticated practice problems, and then arrive at the core of the session; solving problems. I hold my session on zoom by default, and use a 2-in-1 touchscreen laptop for all teaching activities. I would say one thing that sets me apart is that I will not let go of the subject or problem set until I am positive that my student has a clear understanding of the key concepts, and that I also encourage active participation during the sessions. Lastly, I suit my teaching to the level of studies and understanding of the student (I am planning to take students from grades 7-12 and university-level students).If this interests you, I would love to discuss opportunities with you in more details, and thank you !
